Mary Bybee

Mary's art is all original. She studied pastels at the age of seven(1929) under the direction of Van Deerring Perrine. Many other well knownartists of the time had assisted in her education up to the Spring of 1943,when she met and married her husband Herbert Bybee.

In 1994, her husband had passed away and Mary returned to her firstlove: A love of pure passion that can only be expressed through her abilityto create it.

No underpaintings for guides. No distortion of the softness in her touchby a fixative. Her art is a classical example of pastels as they were meantto be seen. Would you like to see her latest work?
