Dwight was born in the color rich environment of Port Antonio, Jamaica.History would be a lot different if we were all born in Jamaicia. The worldwould be brighter. Every color that we could see, would become its ownexperience. Each ripple that glides across the water would sing with thereflective beauty of it's surroundings...
Sadly, most of us were not born in Jamaica. Looking into a simple watercolour, you can see the world through the eyes of someone that has been there.The vibrance of life exudes from an everyday scene that most of us wouldwalk through --without taking time to notice. Dwight has the talent tocapture this aura and bring it to our attention.
His talent did not come as a mere birthright. Dwight came to the UnitedStates to attend the Ringling School of art and Design in Sarasota, Floridaand graduated with a B.F.A.. Now settled in Sarasota, he teaches watercolorin Ringling's undergraduate and continuing education programs. His workis collected internationally, and he holds an impressive list of commissionedassignments.
