| I
was born and raised in South Carolina and I have lived in several
other states as well. I now live in Chicago, Illinois. I have
worked for may years in the medical field, but I am now retired.
I
have developed my artistic talent for many years and have had
no formal training.
I
have exhibited and sold my artwork at the Atlanta Decorative
Art Center for Allied Art in Atlanta, Georgia. I also did commissioned
artwork for interior decorators in Atlanta. I did menu designs
for the Habersham Hotel in Atlanta and did the "Song of the Habersham"
in calligraphy, which is presently displayed in the hotel lobby.
I
illustrated the book "The Legend" by author David Livingston.
I did tear sheets for the Gainesville Times newspaper in Gainesville,
Georgia. The original artwork that I have completed for that
project was purchased by the Christmas Studio in Helen, Georgia.
I also exhibited my artwork at Harris Ltd. in that city.
Although
I have exhibited my artwork, the majority of my sales come from
representations by buyers who have purchased three or four pieces
of my work.
I
work in watercolor, pen and ink, and acrylics. |
